Prompts vs. built agents

A prompt plus your data is a start. Your business runs on rules.

Most agent builders give you instructions, a model and your company data. Tactium does that too, with Datasets. But in that setup the model decides every step, and every rule is just a sentence it's asked to follow. When the work has real checks, real limits and real consequences, Forge designs a proper agent and our team builds it in code.

What exactly is Tactium?

An agent harness. It's where you build agents, ground them in your own knowledge, and run them on the work your business already does. It comes with everything that takes: the agents and tools, current language models, and the vectorization behind agentic RAG. You don't have to assemble that infrastructure yourself.

How is Forge different from Tactium?

Tactium is where agents run. Forge is where they're made. In Forge you define your business, identify the agents you need, and generate prototypes you can evaluate and evolve. Submit one, and the Tactium team builds it out and deploys it into Tactium for your whole team.

Do I need a separate Forge account?

No. You launch Forge from Tactium and arrive already signed in. There's no second password and no second subscription, because Forge access comes with your Tactium plan, your trial, or the team you belong to.

Whose model keys are used, and who pays for tokens?

Yours. Add your provider keys under Profile → Environment Variables, either for the whole workspace or just for yourself. You pay your model provider directly, and Tactium charges for the platform.

What can I upload, and how much?

Any single file can be up to 50 MB, on every plan. Separately, paid plans include 1 GB of storage per person, shared across all your Datasets. Supported formats include PDF, Word, OpenDocument, ePub, Markdown, HTML, plain text, Excel, CSV, PowerPoint, Python and Jupyter notebooks, BibTeX, and common audio and video for transcription.

Can my teammates see my Datasets?

Not yet. Every Dataset is private to the person who created it, and that includes workspace admins. Sharing a Dataset with specific people isn't available yet. For now, a teammate can build their own Dataset from the same uploads.

Which sources can I sync?

Google Drive today. You can also upload files directly and crawl any URL. Connected Drive content stays current automatically: new files come in, changed files replace their old version, and removed files drop out.

What happens if our subscription ends?

Nothing is deleted. Access pauses until an Owner or Admin renews, and your Datasets and chats are there when access returns.
